Well, you get to wave at lots of Amish people. I don't think Amish people are allowed to ride scooters...But I'm not an Amish expert yet so you can't quote me on that. Strasburg Scooters in Lancaster, PA is only about an hour and a half outside of Philly. It doesn't take long to find green rolling hills and people that make you feel like you went back in time. You can find great deals on their scooter tours. My friends and I did the covered bridge scooter tour. Not only is it crazy fun, but it turned out to be quite meditative too. Covered BridgesEvery single Amish person we passed waved at us with a welcoming hello as we rode through their countryside. Small children came running out to try to get us to beep beep....and we would beep beep. John, our tour guide taught us a lot of amazing history about the old covered bridges...I'll keep it suspenseful and let him tell you. An Amish FarmJohn took us to an Amish farm where we got to meet many Amish animals. There were clothes hanging out to dry, dogs playing in the yard and a kid plowing a field with 4 horses and huge iron plow. Takes way more skill than a video game...
Do it. Do it. Do it.

Dr. Sketchy's - James Bond SessionWhat is Dr. Sketchy's? It is the Anti-Art School of America! Candy Mayhem is the Leader of the Philadelphia pack of sexy models that roam the city looking for bored artists to spice up their sketch books. The Philadelphia branch of Dr.Sketchy’s has different events all over the city. If you missed this one check out their website for upcoming events. The models hair and make-up were done by Raina Clarke in Celeste Giuliano's Pin-up Photography studio. If you are interested in capturing your inner pin-up - I vouch that Celeste Giuliano is a magical pin-up wizard-ess who will crack you up during your shoot, make you feel like a goddess and make your man's eyes bug out of his head. I caught two awesome people at this event - the dashing host Candy Mayhem and ridiculously amazing graphic artist David Seidman. When he finishes publishing one of his graphic novels I'll show you how he turned me into a murderous panther girl and then get eaten by a giant squid. If you are interested in modeling for Dr. Sketchy's, attending a session or hosting an event, please contact drsketchyphilly@gmail.com ArtYeah, your - pay as you wish - donation includes admission into the museum as well.
