Phillies and Puppies = Casino Party

Jen and Chase Utley started The Utley Foundation to bring awareness to the heinous animal cruelty crimes happening right under our noses and to educate the public on the proper treatment of animals. Jen and Chase work in tandem with the PSPCA to bring awareness and raise money for the cause. They do it by turning the Electric Factory into a casino and throwing a badass party.

This pup was one of the hosts of the party and she was searching for a family. She was very friendly and had lost an eye to abuse. To see if she is still in need of a home contact the PSPCA and mention the Utley Event.

Everyone was given a thousand dollars worth of chips at the door to gamble with and the gambler with the most chips at the end of the night won a ten thousand dollar shopping spree. 
 

Unfortunately, Jimmy Rollins took all my chips in poker....

We had to add some flair to the red carpet, of course.

Many of Chase Utley's teammates came to support the cause even after playing a game that day.

Here was another star of the event that I was lucky enough to get my picture with. This pup was rescued from a very abusive home and is extremely loveable. I got to share my doggie cookie from my Chase Utley gift bag with him. But the most important guests of all were the brave men and women who are truly fighting the war on Animal Cruelty - the animal cops.  They have saved countless lives and have taken down some of the worst dog fighting rings in the city, putting themselves in extremely dangerous situations to protect the innocent. The PSPCA's positive outlook and constant determination to protect those who cant protect themselves is what keeps them going strong - And The Utley Foundation shares some of their amazing success stories on their website.
