The Wizard of Of - SOLD
I'm not sure why but the "The Wizard of Oz" was my favorite movie as a child. I think the journey of realizing you already have everything you need has always resonated with me. Plus she had fabulous shoes and weird friends. Isn't that the answer to life? And she just threw some water at the problem - we all just need to drink more water. That's probably the actual moral to this story...
But I also enjoyed the broadway show "Wicked" where the wicked witch was actually the "good" guy. Who knew that a story about a little girl and a little dog....and a lion, tin man, scarecrow, some flying monkeys and a green woman allergic to water a could teach us the meaning of life?
This paper collage is made of 2 - 6x6 framed canvases. And yes, if you look closely every brick is about the size of a flaxseed so I hope this little fact makes you appreciate this piece a little more.
