This piece is a mini of a large batik I created. The batik is made on white silk using  a melted wax resist to create the drawing and the colors are filled in with bright colored dyes. Although this mini piece is an acrylic collage, my favorite element of a batik is the white bold line. I love how it makes this mini pop. The hight or vinyl records was before my time but it was heavily present in my childhood and I'm bringing it back. My goal with this mini was to capture a vibe.
