In Native American traditions, the blue whale is seen as a guardian and protector of the oceans, embodying harmony and balance. In some indigenous cultures, it is believed that the blue whale carries the collective consciousness of all beings, emphasizing the interconnectedness of life. Additionally, the blue whale is associated with intuition, deep emotions, and the ability to communicate effectively. Its spiritual significance reminds us to honor and respect the natural world and our place within it. In the book/Disney movie” Alice and Wonderland” Absolem, the caterpillar is a symbol for Alice's transformation. As he warps himself into a cocoon and is ready to transform into a butterfly, these scenes are intercut with Alice's decision-making process of becoming a champion and facing the Jabberwocky.

I chose this piece to be my final piece of the year to represent new beginnings and fresh starts.
