The original vintage circus posters were meant to tantalize our curiosity. The circus, turning tragedy into art, created a family with the sideshow acts. The crab girl was a sideshow act of a girl who was born with ectrodactyly, a claw like birth defect where the fingers fuse leaving the thumb mobile.
