About Me

I am a collage and batik artist whose work is shaped by a lifelong connection to the ocean and years spent living in the Caribbean. Drawing from marine ecosystems, storytelling, and material experimentation, I create layered works that balance joy, humor, and visual richness with a deeper awareness of environmental fragility.

Working primarily with wax-resist batik and collage, I embrace both precision and unpredictability—allowing color, texture, and process to echo the rhythms of the sea. While the imagery often feels buoyant and inviting, my work is grounded in a sincere respect for ocean life and a belief that art can quietly encourage care, curiosity, and conservation without becoming didactic.

My practice is driven by the desire to create work that lives well in the world—art that sparks conversation, lifts a space, and invites viewers into moments of connection. Rooted in lived experience and a genuine love of the ocean, my work reflects an optimism that beauty, humor, and environmental responsibility can coexist.
